LED BADGE COMPATIBILITY

Check your badge, browser, and connection.

The same LED badge casing can contain different controllers and firmware. Use the identifiers below to choose the right connection method before programming.

USB badge

Badge: CH546 / 0416:5020 or CH583
Connection: USB HID
Verified: Chrome and Chromium on Linux

Android Chrome cannot claim this protected HID interface through WebUSB.

Bluetooth badge

Badge: LSLED / Badge Magic compatible
Connection: BLE service FEE0
Verified: Chrome on Android

The badge must expose writable characteristic FEE1.

Test before relying on a badge

Program a short message first. Similar-looking badges may use a different display size, USB controller, or Bluetooth firmware and are not guaranteed to accept the same protocol.
