BLUETOOTH LED BADGE PROGRAMMER

Program LSLED badges through Bluetooth.

Badge Magic-compatible LED badges use Bluetooth Low Energy and commonly advertise as LSLED. ledtag.studio writes their legacy Badge Magic data channel directly from the browser.

Compatible Bluetooth badges

Use a 44 × 11 Badge Magic / LSLED badge with service FEE0, or a monochrome 48 × 12 iLEDColor / SPOTLED badge with service FF20. The site detects the protocol after connecting.

How to program

  1. Enable Bluetooth mode on the badge and disconnect its phone app.
  2. Choose Connect via Bluetooth.
  3. Select the badge by its displayed name or ID.
  4. Wait while the site detects its type, then program your text.
  5. If the badge leaves Bluetooth mode after programming, enable it again before reconnecting.

Why Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is particularly useful on Android, where the USB HID interface of these badges is protected from websites. The Bluetooth connection uses Web Bluetooth and the same message editor and preview as USB programming.
