Chrome on Android can connect to compatible BLE LED badges with Web Bluetooth. This is the recommended method for LSLED and Badge Magic-compatible tags.
Before you start
Use current Chrome on Android.
Turn on phone Bluetooth and allow Chrome’s nearby-devices permission.
On older Android versions, turn on Location while scanning.
Put the badge into Bluetooth mode and disconnect its companion app.
Keep the badge close to the phone during connection.
Connect and program
Open ledtag.studio in Chrome.
Choose Connect via Bluetooth.
Select the badge by its displayed name or ID, such as iledcolor-5F0D.
The site identifies Badge Magic / LSLED or iLEDColor / SPOTLED automatically.
Write a short test message and select Program badge.
USB on Android
These USB badges expose a HID interface. Android Chrome protects that interface from websites, so use Bluetooth for a compatible BLE badge instead of USB programming.
